Abstract

Following the assumption that a proper and balanced diet based on optimal value products is the key prerequisite to a healthy and high quality life, as well as the assumption that the quality of food products, ethics and reliability in the way a brand is presented to the consumers, are the attributes that are directly linked with the application of responsible marketing, this paper will deal with examples of good practices, as well as with those business entities in the food industry who do not follow the principles of the responsible marketing concept in their attempt to bring their products closer to the market. Methods of observation and comparison, analysis and synthesis, which will primarily be used in the paper, will help bring light to the real contribution of responsible marketing applied to the food industry. By relying on secondary sources, the aim of the authors of this paper is to emphasize the importance of applying responsible marketing in the food industry aimed at human health protection.
